This page is for those who are interested in the nitty-gritty of what, exactly, was changed between versions of Aftershock.
Aftershock 1.2
Currently gathering a list of features to add and update for this version.
Development will begin early October.
Contact us if you have any ideas that you'd like to see in the next update to Aftershock!
- Adding "Dodge" as a new game mode for the basic game (expansion pack not required).
- Fixing a bug that causes the game to hang when submitting a high score as anonymous occasionally.
- Potentially switching to use OpenFeint framework for achievements (???)
Aftershock 1.1
Build completed on Sept 14th, 2009
Became available on Sept. 24th, 2009
- Removed "multishape" as a game mode.
- Added a multishape on/off check box on the "select game mode" screen. Now all game modes can be played with or without multishape.
- High scores now show a symbol next to the score to denote if the score was from single or multishape mode.
- The "Help" screen is updated to describe how the new multishape modes work.
- Added "Panic" as a new game mode for the basic game (expansion pack not required).
- "Select game mode" screen now starts at the last game mode you played and remembers your "multishape" preference.
- State is saved, so when home button is pressed or a call comes in, you won't lose all your progress.
- Shapes no longer travel through the walls when the game isn't running at full framerate.
- High scores no longer replace non-alpha characters with underscores.
- When a timed game's level ends and the time is under 5 seconds, the next level will now continue "dinging" each second.
- Shapes continue moving (instead of freezing) when they are fading away at the end of a level.
- Button regions have been increased so make pushing them easier.
- This build includes code for the lite version of the game, which lets players play the full "classic" mode, but doesn't let them keep high scores. The lite version will be submitted to Apple the same day this version will be submitted.
